Thanks Sam - we do our best! Sometimes it's too easy to get drawn into perceived technical crises here when they really don't have too much effect outside the echo chamber, as it were.
That said, our infrastructure is showing its age (we haven't added new servers since last year), and we'll be deploying our newest one shortly. That way I hope that everyone will be unable to notice any performance degradation!
